Of all of the photos from the Hinton Farm I'd have to say that this one was my favorite. I shot several frames of Burton spreading the sawdust but pretty much knew that the shot where he was walking past the light coming through the door would be the best. There are several elements that came together to make this picture work: the soft light on the cows coming through the windows on either side of the barn, the almost silhouetted form of Hinton that still gives enough detail to see what he is doing along with the interior of the barn and the dust cloud rising from the sawdust pile. The price for getting these interior shots was cameras and lenses covered with a fine layer of sawdust and speckles of cow manure, which are impossible to avoid if you get anywhere near cows for any length of time.
