| Photojournalist Remarks
Every time that I was in the Burlington area I looked for places where I could get a shot that reflected urban encroachment upon farm lands. Regardless of what kind of story I was working on I would always try to set some time aside and find a road that I had not been down before, in hope of discovering a better angle. Finding urban encroachment was no problem, finding a way to effectively get it all in one picture was. Driving around a few miles south of downtown Burlington I spotted the scene that I had been looking for. The tractor and field in the foreground and the houses covering the hill in the background gave me the combination that I had envisioned. The large barn, directly in between these two elements, was an added bonus. I'd shot other photos of urban encroachment in the surrounding area, but this one was the best of the bunch.
