Some of the teams in semi-pro ball have a pretty good fan base. Vermont is one of those teams. This playoff game was held on one of the first really cold days of the football season and Vermont still got a good turnout. I suspect that Vermont gets a lot of fans because, aside from high school ball, there are not many football teams in the area. The University of Vermont in near-by Burlington dropped football years ago and the nearest pro team is in Montreal.
