The results of this photo were partly why I wanted to do a complete story on ice yacht racing at some point in time. I loved the partial silhousette of the racers bodies against the sails of their boats, and the reflection of the sun off from the glare ice of Lake Champlain. Warm winters, scheduling conflicts and other photo jobs got in the way of doing "The Ice Yacht Club" sooner than 2005. |
