| Photojournalist Remarks
The settings for this photo were approximately the same as the one taken on negative film. A lot of the highlight and shadow detail that can be seen in the photo taken with color negative film has been lost in this one taken with a digital camera. Those that claim film is dead should take a look at limitations of images from digital cameras and the postives of negative film before making such pronouncements. If I had opened up the aperture to light the interior better, the windows would have been more blown out. If I had gone in the other direction, to hold the window detail, than the interior detail would have been lost. This was shot as a high quality JPEG. RAW might provided a little bit more detail, but it would not have come near what the negative provided. The bottom line is that most people don't shoot RAW, and the whole RAW or JPEG issue is another debate all together.
